About our speaker:
Gerard Buhosky
GASBOY INTERNATIONAL
Jerry Buhosky is the purchasing manager for Hydromotion, Inc.. He has over 20 years experience in manufacturing performing various inventory, shop floor, planning, and buying functions. His greatest experience is in the supervision of a sheet metal fabrication area. In 1994, he was on a team charged with increasing the production capacity at Gasboy International by 30 percent. Through a complete factory rearrangement and implementation of a setup reduction program, this goal was achieved. The setup reduction program eliminated 75 percent of the time previously dedicated to setup. He then was trained to facilitate Kaizen instruction and had success with that technique as well. Jerry has consulted for the Department of Defense, as well as the private sector, doing setup reduction and Kaizen training. Jerry is President of the Lehigh Valley APICS Chapter and has been an APICS member since 2000.
