Job Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing Oracle Supply Chain modules - Demantra, IO, ACSP. That experience would include being the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the modules to be implemented and providing 1st and 2nd level support to the Users. This candidate will also demonstrate the ability to examine the impact of these modules on our overall Supply Chain business initiatives as well as the impact on our financial statements. These competencies will be critical in supporting our 2012 rollout of expanding our Oracle Inventory Planning suite.
This role will also support our effort on expanding our Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) program. This would include supporting our internal customers and VMI suppliers through reporting on the daily activity around our current Oracle Inventory and Supply Chain Operations Planning (S&OP) environments with the objective of lowering our overall Inventory through increasing turns and relying on our suppliers to deliver product in a timely fashion.
The team's overall mission is to:
- Provide a superior Inventory planning solution by which the field will plan their material usages in a consistent platform across the entire Comcast footprint.
- Identify and drive strategic Supply Chain Inventory Optimization Programs - VMI, Excess Management for all of Comcast.
Specific Duties Include:
- Support our internal Oracle users in the areas of Item Utilization, Reporting, and general Oracle application support.
- Support users as the Subject Matter Expert for Oracle Inventory Planning and their connection to other modules and applications.
- Assist in the development and rollout of our Vendor managed Inventory (VMI) program through cultivation of relationships with strategic vendors.
- Prepare, publish and analyze Inventory reporting metrics to the Supply Chain and Cable HQ Management teams.
- Interact with Divisional and Cable HQ management to develop queries, analyze data, create and publish a variety of reports to assist with the overall goals of the Company.
- Develops inventory metrics by which all Inventory locations are measured.
- Analyze inventory levels against targets and make recommendations to achieve success.
- Reconcile data in reporting tools to the systems of record to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Collect and analyze data in support of process improvement projects.
Education and Experience:
- Experience with Oracle modules - Demantra, IO, ACSP.
- 5+ years of experience with 1-3 Years of ORACLE Inventory experience and knowledge of other Oracle modules (General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Purchasing and Account Payable).
- Strong Microsoft Office skills. Specifically MS Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Possess strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, MIS or related field
