Since 2001, PAN APICS has offered its highly successful education program for CPIM preparation. Each series of five exams is prepared by a campaign of five preparation courses held consecutively by the chapter. This brochure describes the campaign concept and the five individual course content.

Campaign

The APICS, 11h Edition Dictionary defines campaign as:

"A series of batches of the same product run together (back to back)."

The product is the CPIM Certification Review Courses. The series, or campaign, consists of:
  • A full set of five modules, one for each exam required for certification
  • A time period of approximately twenty months
  • Each campaign has planned overlap with the preceding and subsequent campaigns

Five Courses:
  • Basics of Supply Chain Management (BSCM)
  • Master Planning of Resources (MPR)
  • Detailed Scheduling and Planning (DSP)
  • Execution and Control of Operations (ECO)
  • Strategic Management of Resources (SMR)

Note: Courses are listed in the recommended sequence.

Format:
  • Each course consists of ten, three hour sessions
  • Equivalent to a five day workshop
  • All inclusive, training materials will be provided
  • For current pricing, see our web site: www.PAN-APICS.org

Return on Investment (ROI):

  • According to the 1999 APICS Salary Survey, certification pays off
  • The survey shows that respondents with CPIM certifications earn an average income of 15 - 23 percent more than non-certified professional
  • Average compensation: Certified = $58,728, Non-certified = $51,652

CPIM WORKSHOP ENVIRONMENT

We are including many improvements, all part of the investment:
  • Expanding our instructor support for co-instructor teams for all sessions (minimum of two instructors)
  • Increasing our investment in instructor development (qualified instructors, trained in learning styles and training techniques)
  • Expanding the learning tools to increase the skills and knowledge of the participants
  • Enhancing the workshop materials and learning environment
  • Increasing the involvement of the participants (group and individual exercises)
  • Providing different options for completing the CPIM certification
  • Bringing the true experts to the classroom via video and interactive learning
  • Providing study group sessions (if needed)
  • And more….

This is NOT your typical certification review course.

OTHER WORKSHOP INFORMATION:

THE LONG-RANGE CPIM PROGRAM
For planning purposes, we expect to start a rotation of the 5 new CPIM modules (a campaign) every 12 months. This will enable candidates to complete the certification cycle in 18 months.

NEW PROGRAM CONCEPT
The Certification Team is recommending that the CPIM candidates invest in this program for the long-term, not a 'quick hit - get it out of the way' RUSH! Our program is paced for those who want to truly expand their understanding of the new principles, practices, and technologies being implemented in the leading edge manufacturing companies.

Those that need an intensive FAST-PACED program can contact our Certification Team to discuss those requirements and how we can provide support for that special need.
